ASUU STRIKE

    Governor Obaseki addresses lingering strike issues

    Addressing journalist after our monthly security meeting, I contributed to the lingering strike action by ASUU as a cause of the increasing rate of drug abuse in the state.

   I appeal the ASUU and the FG to do all they can to end the union strike as soon as possible for the interest of the children in the country.

Drug abuse ranks among the top two security concerns in the state. Our analysis show that there is high rate of consumption of illicit drugs in the last few months which is not unconnected with the ASUU strike that has kept students idle at home.
